How to Make a PSA (Public Service Announcement): Home

The goal of this guide is to provide basic information to structure the process of making a public service announcement for local radio stations with a focus on WCNI Radio right here at Connecticut College.

A public service announcement (PSA) is a short, community-oriented message that radio stations air in order to raise awareness about the important work of local non-profit organizations.

Choose a topic you are passionate about, identify a non-profit organization working on that very topic, connect with them in some way to get their approval, then craft a brief approximately 30 to 60 second message to help spread the word about the importance of their work.
