Open Educational Resources (OER)

Digital accessibility ensures that everyone has equal access to learning. Digital materials should be compatible with assistive technologies. It is to the benefit of all learners to create OER that provide 

• multiple means of engagement
• multiple means of representation
• multiple means of action and expression

• SCULPT for Accessibility - SCULPT is acronym and guide to an underlying framework that introduces the basic principles of digital accessibility in a bite-sized approachable way.
• WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tools - a suite of evaluation tools that helps creators make their web content more accessible to individuals with disabilities.

SCULPT is a simple way to communicate some basic principles of digital accessibility and a starting point to shape inclusive practices. Anyone can use the SCULPT acronym to develop their own approach to digital accessibility.
