Methods of Finding Books on Campus and Beyond

On the Libraries homepage, you can either do a quick search of all resources in OneSearch or do an advanced search to limit your search to just books. To do so, check the "ConnColl Books and Media" bubble to search library books and videos. The catalog can be searched by author, title, keyword or subject. You can also use call numbers to browse the collection by subject.

*Note: OneSearch will allow you to search the catalog and multiple subscription databases at the same time; however, not all databases are included in OneSearch!

To broaden your search results beyond Connecticut College and the Boston Libraries Consortium, use WorldCat to access titles held by thousands of libraries worldwide. You can then place an Interlibrary Loan request for materials you find that are not held within the consortium's libraries. It takes approximately eight days for an ILL book loan to arrive and two days for an article request to be delivered as a PDF. You will receive an email when your materials are ready for pick up or have been delivered to your account.

Many museums are beginning to offer free, digitized exhibition catalogues on their websites.
