This collection of papers from the NAACP is available here in microform. The second tab of this guide gives you an overview of the collection's organization and the names of the different sections, most of which have paper guides you can look at. We do not have keyword access to the digital form of this collection. You will therefore probably have to spend some time looking at the paper guides. Sometimes what you will want to use is obvious; sometimes it may take some time to go through both the guides and the collection itself. Knowing the time period you are interested in, the type of materials you want, and names of relevant people will always be enormously useful.
If you are interested in using this collection, you should first come talk with someone at the Reference Desk. The actual reels of microfilm are kept in a staff area, so arrangements must be made to retrieve them (this isn't hard, it is simply that the size of the collection could not fit into our current cases on the ground level.) The film must then be used in our microform area on the ground floor.
