GWS 200 Special Topic: Sex/Work

Students are to seek out models and innovative programs that address sex workers' health needs in a US city.

Learning Goals:

  • Learn how to effectively use OneSearch:
    • Understand the nuances of refining a search.
    • Learn how to order a book from Wesleyan or Trinity.
    • Learn how to use Interlibrary Loan if an article/book/document is not available.
  • Understand the difference between a primary source and a secondary source.
  • Identify other possible words or phrases that might prove useful in searching this topic.
  • Collect books from Shain stacks that provide background and context.
  • Identify effective programs to research more deeply.
