An introduction to RefWorks, a web-based bibliography and citation manager that enables users to create their own personal database of citations by importing references from the library catalog, library databases, and elsewhere.
Adding a File to an Existing Reference


To add a file or PDF to an existing reference in RefWorks:

  1. Find a resource and save it to your computer.
  2. Log in to RefWorks, and identify the reference for which you would like to add the saved resource file. Click on the reference to display the details on the right side of the screen. 
  3. Click on the Edit pencil icon as shown below.
  4. Scroll to the Attachment field in the reference record and select Add an Attachment. Choose the selected document from your computer to upload. Click Save. 


Once your full-text has been uploaded, you will see the Read button and the first page of the article.
