RefWorks

RefWorks is a web-based citation manager. It allows you to collect, organize, and store citations. Then create bibliographies in hundreds of styles.

Why Cite Sources?

Whenever you quote , paraphrase or base your ideas on another person's work, it is essential to document the sources you used. You can do this by way of a parenthetical citation, or by footnotes. Citiing sources is a form of profesional honesty. It also strengthens you work, showing you have consulted other scholarly sources to build your own work. If you use another's person's work and do not give them credit it is plagiarism. Plagiarism is a very serious academic violation.
